Asked what was working in the early prototype, the saved development reflections singled out sound and atmosphere. The graphics were improving too, but the impression of being in the world was not coming from images alone.

That is a useful observation to keep beside the visual comparisons. A screenshot can show a new tree or a better riverbank. It cannot reproduce what made a moment feel more present while playing. Judging the project only from still images would miss part of the progress that the developer actually noticed.

The goal for the landscape includes a warm, natural and slightly nostalgic atmosphere. Audio is part of finding that feeling. There is no finished soundtrack to announce here, just an early observation worth keeping: while the images were still changing, sound was already contributing something the developer wanted to preserve.
