The gray-wolf study gives the animal a plain backdrop and a readable side profile. That makes its outline, proportions and fur easier to inspect without the forest hiding part of the body. The image shown here is an offline model preview, not a wolf encountered in the playable world.
Appearance is one stage of the work. A convincing still image cannot tell us whether the legs deform well, whether a walk carries the right weight, or whether the animal behaves believably around the player. Those questions require their own work and their own evidence.
For now, the useful thing is to look closely at the animal. Does the outline read clearly? Do the proportions hold up without scenery around them? The studio view keeps those questions in focus. The first convincing step, and eventually a believable encounter in the world, are separate milestones still to demonstrate.
